CSR Spending: Paper Form ya Real Responsibility?

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) kuch jurisdictions me large profitable companies ke liye mandatory percentage-spend ka structure ban chuka hai. Idea yeh hai ki business sirf profit machine nahi, society ka stakeholder bhi hai.

Law specify karta hai:

  • Kaun se activities eligible hain (education, health, environment, etc.),
  • Direct implementation vs NGO route,
  • Board-level CSR committee,
  • Detailed annual reporting.

Kuch companies isko tick-box exercise bana deti hain – last quarter me hurried spending, naam ke projects, glossy brochures. Dusri taraf genuinely thoughtful CSR kaam bhi ho raha hai jahan long-term impact, community partnership, aur outcome measurement pe focus hai.

Shareholders aur public ko reports critically dekhni chahiye – kaunse projects repeat ho rahe hain, kitna admin cost hai, third-party audits hain ya nahi.

CSR ka real matlab brand-building se zyada, ecosystem ko better banana hai jisme company khud operate karti hai.
